Everyday Journals
An IntroductionJournaling, in many shapes and forms, is becoming an intrinsic part of our culture. Once considered the bastion of intellectuals, hermits and world travelers, journaling is now more widely understood as an opportunity to express thoughts, feelings and ideas, whoever you are. Blogs, or online journals shared among a self-created web community around almost any topic, are springing up daily.
Creating Women Ministries is pleased to offer this series, Everyday Journals, as an invitation to you to take time on a regular basis to meet up with your faith in writing. This journal can be used in a variety of ways. Scripture readings create a “stepping off place” to discern your place in your journey and where you are going. Fill the page, dash down a thought or two before you close your eyes at night. Write down a potent memory or revelation between paying bills or after you check your emails. Brew your coffee and some new faith perspectives each morning and plan some prayer time with God.
Everyday Journals can also be passed among a circle of friends as a shared journaling experience. Or, take your Everyday Journal on the road and see what new surroundings do to inspire your spirit, and your awareness of God's Spirit.
